We have examined the plans photos &c., submitted to us with your letter of the 15th instant and beg to report as follows.
We think that the Clock Tower would be suitably placed in connection with the new Post Office Buildings, and that its design as shown on the elevations is an harmony with the rest of the build- ing and does not call for any particular modification.
If, however, the internal arrangements of the building permit, we think there would be some advantages, in placing the Tower at the angle of the block as shown in the accompanying sketch which although not attempting to show the details has been set up to scale.
